Canyoning in Valmalenco

A unique canyoning route in the Alps

SPELEOCANONING IN VALMALENCO – THE CORMOR STREAM
This is a unique canyoning route in all the Alps. Over the millennia, the Cormor stream, now blocked by the artificial basins of Campo Moro and Gera, has deeply affected its bed in the typical green rock of Valmalenco: the serpentinite.
A large paleo-grange has subsequently invaded long stretches of riverbed, burying it completely.
The waterway, with a slow but incessant erosive work, found a passage into the light, creating an incredible system of underground tunnels.
Much of the canyon is therefore entirely in the dark.
The environment is spectacular and unique, for the green rock modeled as a real natural sculpture and for the light that at times come from above.
